At the end of the IFIL's ordinary shares offer period, according to final data from Monte Titoli S.p.A., 383,794,965 new ordinary shares have been subscribed, equal to 99.35% of the total amount of ordinary shares offered. The majority shareholder IFI – Istituto Finanziario Industriale S.p.A. has subscribed 233,861,025 ordinary shares.
Therefore, 4,432,500 rights, effective in subscribing 2,526,525 new IFIL ordinary shares are not exercised. The unopted rights will be offered on the Italian Stock Exchange, on behalf of IFIL, by Banca IMI S.p.A., on August, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th and will solely be effective to subscribe new ordinary shares, with regular enjoyment rights, at the price of €1.3 per share, on a ratio of 57 new ordinary shares for every 100 rights. The new ordinary shares should be subscribed by (and not later than) August, 12th, 2003.
The positive outcome of the capital increase is guaranteed by leading Italian and international financial institutions.
