The EXOR Preferred Shares Stockholders’ Meeting, which held today in Turin, has appointed Mr. Oreste Cagnasso as the preferred shareholders’ representative for the next three-year period 2013-2015.
Oreste Cagnasso
Mr. Cagnasso is a graduate in Law from the University of Turin. Following a period as Lecturer in Commercial Law at University of Turin and University of Urbino, in 1987 he became Associate Professor and then Professor of Commercial Law at the Economics department of the University of Turin.
He is currently Professor of “Advanced Commercial Law” and “Insolvency Procedures Law”. He has authored numerous books on commercial and civil law, as well as essays, papers, articles, encyclopedia entries, treatises and commentaries. He is a specialist in corporate matters (particularly, composition of boards for corporations, extraordinary transactions, partnerships, limited liability companies) and contracts (particularly, tenders and distribution agreements).
Recently, Mr. Cagnasso's research focus has been on the reform of joint stock companies and insolvency procedures, including participating as a contributing editor to a commentary on company reform, published by Zanichelli in 2005.
In 2007 he has published an essay about the “new” limited liability company published by Cedam and a paper about bankruptcy published by Ipsoa. He has also cooperated in writing a section of the book “Società per Azioni”, published by Cedam in 2010.
He is a member of the editorial and scientific committees of several journals on civil and commercial law and co-editor of the online journal “Il Nuovo Diritto Societario”.
He is also an editor of the series Nuova Giurisprudenza Sistematica Civile e Commerciale, published by Utet.
He is co-editor, with Luciano Panzani, of a series about public companies, edited by Zanichelli, and a series about insolvency procedures, edited by Utet.
Mr. Cagnasso was also common representative of the preference shareholders of Fiat S.p.A. and Fiat Industrial, and is a delegate for the Italian insurer Reale Mutua di Assicurazioni.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. s.p.a.
He is also a member of the Turin bar association, working as civil lawyer.
