IFIL S.p.A. purchased a 1.54% stake in the ordinary capital stock of Sanpaolo IMI (equal to 1.22% of capital stock) for a global investment of approx. € 263 million.
The shares have been purchased on the market at the average price of € 11.59, net of commissions. Sanpaolo IMI’s Chairman had previously been informed and expressed his satisfaction.
As a consequence of the abovementioned investment, IFIL’s stake in Sanpaolo IMI’s capital stock grew from 3.77% to 4.99% of capital stock and from 4.77% to 6.3% of ordinary stock.
